Recently I attended and orientation for K & B Transportation. Everything was going well and they were ready to hand me my truck.
When they presented the truck they expected me to drive I politely asked for another choice since the truck looked like it had been damaged. Granite I expected and older truck and I was OK with that but not that truck.
They told me to take it or leave it. I told them I would leave it. They immediately told me to exit off the property and wait at the gate of the only terminal they have. Sean the head of hiring or whatever told me he would call a cab and I would have to pay for my way home and the cab.
How nice! I never have been treated by a trucking company this way or any other non-trucking company this way.
Thanks making me spend $500 to get the chance to work for you K & B!
If you are thinking about choosing this company I would not! I meant several disgruntle drivers at the bus station leaving the company after being screwed by this company for 3-6 months.
    FYI - Beware this company K & B Transportation!:biggrin_2559:

Thus the reason NOT to except a bus ride unless you have the money to get home! I'll drive or ride the bike to orientation over getting stuck anywhere even at quitting time! They will pay the cost as I'll go home unload the truck send them their 2 week notice in the USPS with a return receipt requested then a phone call and on their communications device! Then in 2 weeks take the walk after parking their junk in their yard and get into your car, p/u truck or on your bike. At least you have a good way home!

I'm fine. I can afford to pay my own way. Just want to warn the rest of you about this company. Got pictures and voice recordings with video on phone in case they don't know it. No, not going to post here because it is legal evidence.
Just be for warned about this company before you ever consider them. I was just looking for a small family company with some values instead of the big companies like JB, Werner, Schneider ect....

That's KB alright, sorry to hear it. Are you local to the Sioux City area? I drove for a company out of LeMars IA, B-T Inc. Good people, good company, nice equipment. They are a sub of Decker out of Fort Dodge IA. Van Wyk are another good one out of Sheldon IA.

Never been my experience with JB HUNT or Swift. People may say bad things about JB HUNT but they are actually a good company to work for.

No, I live in Atlanta area and I actually rode a bus all the way out there. First time I ever did that. Usually my wife drops me off.
