like my dad always said, "tommy, when you got an important choice to make, seek wise council." well, my dad, the the very wise past away last november. i wish he was still around because i got a choice i got to make soon. so i cranked up this 800 dollar deck of cards, and i'm searching for some wise council. i got 2 job offers. one from knight refrigerated, and one from crete. crete pay a bit more, but knight has a terminal right here in houston where i live now. i've been driving for over 10 years now, and never once worked for a "common carrier" such as swift, us express, crete, knight, and so forth. i'm not saying that these types of companies are "under" me at all. its just that i cant seem to find a local job here in south east houston that will pay me what i'm worth or used to. bla bla bla. i've been looking on this forum for about a week now, and finally signed up. i'm just saying hello to everybody in the form of a question. i sure do like all the info these forums have. i'll keep sifting through looking for wise council. drive safe out there brothers and sisters.

Tommy, I'm very sorry about your dad. I know what you mean about losing wise council.
There are plenty of threads about both companies here. I'm sure that by reading them, you will be able to make your mind up pretty easily.
And you might just get lucky and get a couple of drivers from each company that pop in here and give you their .02.

Hi TommyBravo, welcome to the forum. So sorry to hear about your Dad passing away. Sounds like he was a very wise and good man. I don't know which company to tell you to go with, but like bullhaulerswife said there are many threads on here about both companies. I am sure if you read posts here Trucking Company DAC Reports You will get a better idea of which company is best for you.
