TD, great to hear the specs helped and the also nice to know Harold is doing what he can to see that his students succeed. Good luck tomorrow!

Glad to hear the glasses worked. I had the same issue and used older glasses instead of recent contacts I got.
Backing comes in time - trust me I had a hard time at first, then it just sunk in. We'll see how well I do on the road starting Friday.
It's scary as crap at first out there - but you get more comfortable. I will say I am still very apprehensive and drive slower that most. -
Cartersville Ga.? -
Yes, Cartersville, GA..will be heading to the Holiday Inn there on Sunday afternoon, then classes start promptly at 7:30 AM at the training center. Picked up my Commercial Carrier Atlas today for 20 bux at the local TA ( did not get the fancy spiral bound). Need to get some work gloves before i go and a good alarm clock.

No worries on the alarm clock. The hotel has one in each room.ChanceMasters Thanks this.

Day 8 is done with and we had our backing maneuvers test. We all passed. This afternoon we took to the road. I drove for 24 miles. After the nerves calmed down I did ok. I did this thing 15-16 years ago with Roehl. I thought it would all come back to me like I never skipped. Well, to my surprise it didn't. Truckdriving is a humbling experience. It will come back to me eventually. Looking forward to taking a break for the weekend.
Good Luck Chance you will have a good time. Truckdriving will be better than retail - I know because I left the Home Depot after being there for 4 years and even though I am being humbled by the truck it is definitely better than retail.
Ciao for now!ChanceMasters Thanks this.
