Here's a possibility that you might have overlooked....Lose some weight!

Don't say it can't be done because it can! Now I know that losing weight is not as easy as filing a disability claim and might involve some self dicsipline and effort but I recently decided to lose some weight and have already lost over 30 pounds in 2 months.

I did this while driving my truck and running just like I always do. (For those of you that say you can't lose weight if you drive)

 

I really don't think this mass body whatever will ever really take affect it would put to many people out of a job and I also believe it is DISCRIMINATION and lots of law suits will follow. Also if the person can get into and out of the truck why should they stop him from working. If they do put it into affect it should be for everybody, CONGRESS, SENATORS EVERYBODY IN GOVERMENT ALSO.

 

As a long term (addicted) smoker, could I get disability, considering that so many workplaces are non-smoking?

I am not bi-lingual, could I get disabilty for that?

Gimme a break ........ I'm 6'1" and weigh in at 205. I just recently dropped 6 pounds headed for 190 'cuz that's a good weight for me right now and gets my BMI under 25.

Why you ask?

"cause I saw what was comin' if I continued doin' what I was doin'.

well i kinda agree with e original poster. if the govt. regulations can take a dirvers livly hood if the bmi come into effect. then why shouldnt the driver exercise his right to file for a govt. benefit. after all the driver paid into it. sure it doesnt sound right but its all part of the game. the regulations can put a strangle hold upon you for a job youve done for so long. why not let the govt benefits you earned work for you. its all a game get what u can cause if their gonna take it you might as well get something .

 

I'd still like to know when the inability to quit shoving food into your face became a disability.
I think the BMI regs. are a bit over the top but seriously...Filing for disability because you're fat?

i know it sounds wrong disability cause you fat. but look its the world were in now i think if you can get it go for it. nobody is looking out for you but you. desperate times go for desperate means. sure there may be other ways but if it worked for him it worked he played a better hand

 

That attitude is what's wrong with our society these days...The whole "Hooray for me, #### you" mentality that people have.
I'm a fat slob so everyone else has to support me because I'm too unmotivated to lose weight in order to be able to keep working.

Sorry...But if you think it's OK, You're part of the problem!

 

black w 900 if you could get some type of financial income form the benefits you paid into no matter what the reason why you want to collect dont you think you were entitled to it. especiall if the govt said you were no longer able to do the job youve done for say 30 years. you got bills to pay and a family to support. sometimes that high horse isnt gonna be that high when it comes to plain ol survival and by survival i mean keeping your house and clothes on you and the family. but thats just my opion

 

Uhmm, not all overweight folks are overweight because they eat too much.

Anyhow, I'm just wondering..what'd you do to lose the weight? I started watching my calories, and gawd, everything seems to have so many calories but be so....non-filling...

And it bugs me how theres so many supposedly healthy foods that are just that way because theres hardly anything to em..like subway....

But i did start losing weight. Just having a hard time finding things that are lower in calories and filling..
