I need a GPS to drive around Atlanta delivering concrete and need a GPS until I get familiar with the roads. I need one that has an option to detour driving on I-75 since it is not allowed. Does anyone know of a GPS that can do this?

You are running a perishable item. Sometimes a mixer has to run no truck routes to make the job site. Many fall under a local delivery exception. My truck route GPS would always route me thru downtown? Yet in small towns would put me on a truck route around them?:biggrin_2556:
If I got stopped I would tell them this is a high dollar load with fast set in it. Who is going to pay for this load that will be refused?

the concrete I deliver is all dry and in a trailer so I don't think I could really swing that or at least i don't want to take any chances, I've been reading up on some units and its seems the only one with this ability i'm seeking is the Rand Mcnally 700 which is pretty much the newest and most expensive unit on the market. o well I might have to get it if I can't find an alternative one.

ops you got me but I'm a newbie :) I'm still looking right now I think I'm gonna have to call some of these manufactures and ask if the Part of I-75 is already added to there restricted roads database or if I can add it in myself

No problem. Merely mis-worded and like you say you are new. Terminology will come with exp.:biggrin_25520:
