if you are not used to driving a manual transmission it is probably a little harder because you don't have the concept of having to push the clutch to change gears. but don't worry, you'll be doing it in no time! it just sounds very intimidating. just remember to not be in a hurry. take your time and change your gears. they'll teach you to watch and listen to your rpm's. coordination will come.

Shifting is not a problem in a car. Most cars I owned were manual and I figured that would help somewhat. And its good to know if you vent and bash it aint to scare a newbie out of the industry. I know we all need to let out steam. Plus most seem to get along here.

HEY!! you are going to miss a few gears and grind a few gears, but it's getting the feel for it.

Once you do that...you will be an OLD PRO!!

Grinding gears is a way of life in trucking. If you don't grind sometimes, then your truck has no personality, and every truck has it's own, unique personality. As for this forum, it is the best one I've been involved with. Tell your friends and welcome aboared!
