I had a wallet returned to me once many years ago, that I had lost with $50 (two $20s and two $5s).
Funny thing....kid said he had "just" found it (I had lost it several weeks before), he said he found it in front of his house (I had worked on a street several blocks away) and inside it contained 3 $10's and a $20.

    Explain that...

Yeah... hard to find nowadays, an honest individual. My brother once found nearly $3000 in a brown paper sack on the street, turned it in to these crooked cops here in Coronado, and I think they divvied it up between 'em, because my bro later asked 'em about it and they gave him some bogus reply. He checked back because if nobody claimed the cash, it would've been his after so many months... personally, in that case, I would hang onto the sack of dough and run an ad in the paper, letting any claimants step forward and describe the bag, where it was lost, etc. Oh, well, I guess my bro bought all the beer and food for the crooked Coronado cops' annual picnic. :biggrin_25523:
