Has anyone ever been asked to leave one of these time limit truck stops? I am parked at one in Newburgh, NY which supposedly has a 3 hour parking limit. Is this enforced?

I usually plan my trip ahead so that I could AVOID these places at all costs. What it comes down to is the rules of the private property. Sounded like some gas station with a few spaces for truck parking. If you're trying to get an 8 to 10 hour sleeper break in, then things become very complicated.
So, yeah. Avoid places with time limits. You can always ask to stay overnight, but I really never ran into nice people in the northeast US anyway. (New Jersey is the worst for me.)
Ask the manager very nicely, but only if he makes a big deal out of it. -
Actually I know exactly where he is and you could call it a gas station. He is at the Pilot off exit 6 0n I-84.No they do not enforce that rule, from the info I got from a local the township required that sign to be posted due to the limited parking there. As long as you are in a legal parking spot and are not over idling they won't even blink an eye if you stay for a weekend.I've stayed there quite a few times myself.

Thanks for the info about that place wildcat. That place actually has quite a few spots. I would say 50 or so trucks can park there without problem. I got there around 5:30 pm and there were probably 10 or so spots left and I didn't figure it was going to get any better toward NJ and I was nearly to my 14 so I was very happy to find a space there.

Most truckstops that have those signs dont enforce it. theres a pilot somewhere near chesapeake VA that has big signs saying 4 hour parking only...by local ordinance. Pilot doesnt give a ####.
Ive taken 10 hour breaks at quite a few 8 hour, 2 hour time limit, "no overnight parking" restareas.. -
I took my 10 at that very pilot in Newburgh just last week.

I've stayed at places with posted time limits a couple of times. Both times I asked inside and they said it was OK. Never hurts to check and I figured it was better to find out right away vs. a rude awakening

You talking the one at Providence Forge?
-
I'm not sure where it is. It's very near Chesapeake, thats all I remember, and I haven't been across the tunnel in 3 months..

That isn't providence forge then. Didn't even know one was in the bay area.
