Well I'm all ready to leave in the morning. My fridge is stocked, laundry done and reset finished, so I get to relax tonight and watch the basketball game with my wife.

I have to be in Orlando to unload with a 1:30pm appointment. The problem I have is that my reload is scheduled for 2pm in Jacksonville. I doubt I can unload and be in J'ville in a half hour. I'll leave early tomorrow and get there early and call dispatch to figure out this little mess. I know what my whole week is going to be so this little scheduling snafu will play a big roll in my week.

I did this same run 2 weeks ago and it worked out just fine without any problems, but it required unloading in Orlando, loading in J'ville, unloading in Spartanburg SC, and dropping and hook in Greenville SC....all in the same day. Then dropping the load in Mountaintop PA the next evening.

    Stay tuned for more!........

Well I did my reset at the house, left early Monday morning for a delivery in Brooklyn, ny. Well I got about a half hour away when my truck broke down (the fan clutch went up) and now I'm sitting in a hotel while my truck sits at cummins. Hopefully I'm back up and running today.

You'll be fine. Watch a few videos, sign papers, meet with a few people, and by 1-2 pm your basically done and get your truck assigned to you. Good luck!

I'll be in the yard around 8pm tomorrow. Maybe I'll see you there. This will be the easiest orientation you ever had, trust me.

Well I'm sitting in a motel in Duncan SC, not by choice believe me. My A/C went out this morning leaving Jacksonville. The company doesn't fix A/C's on the road, but they do pay for a motel. This has been a very long hot day. I'll write my entry about the delivery(9 hrs), when I get to Pittston.

Orientation was pretty simple, paperwork and videos really. Truck was in the shop all day, when I finally got it, it was not in the best of shape cleanliness-wise. So I'm at the hotel around the corner til morning, Mort is bringing in a service to clean the truck, thought that was really cool.....it's really that nasty in there. Everyone is nice and friendly and busy. Looks like I'll be doing the local gig, was looking for the regional but I guess the need right now is local. I'll be back there tomorrow around 9, should be able to get at it tomorrow.

I've been keeping up with this thread and must say I am impressed with Calex. It seems they have their ducks in a row.

Well after 2 days of being broke down outside NYC I'm back on the road. The fan clutch blew apart and it was at the cummins dealer in Newark, Nj. I delivered my load to Brooklyn with no issues. Deadheaded to Mountaintop picked up and now I'll be in Cheshire, Ct at 6 am for my delivery appt.

Told you.......congratulations and welcome aboard. You are not the only one that had to have the cleaning service come in to clean the truck. They started a new policy in the last year that if your truck needs to be cleaned by the cleaning service it will be charged back to the last driver. The local gig won't last long. Who's your assigned dispatcher? If it's Billy then you're on the local board, if it's Louie then you're on the regional board. Either one will be a pleasure to work with. If you have any questions just ask. Good luck.
