I see your listed as "wannabe" so I'll leave it at that. FFE does in fact have a dry van side which the aquired when the Conwell Corp. (owner of FFE) bought out Lisa motor line's (reefer) and American Eagle which is the dry van side but anyone within the company can pull dry van if assigned a dry load. I'm in a A/E truck and pulled one frozen load then stayed on dry van load's for two week's straight before getting a reefer trailer and hauling some more frozen good's. I'm home for 3 day's. Might leave early though. My other half and I are getting at each other's throat's so I may end up cutting it a day short. Everything has been so so. 3rd week in I managed to sqeeze enough miles out of my dispatcher to pay off my advance debt and make a check to bring home.

Been steady on the QC, mile's, load's, log book is running, let's make some money, what's the hold up etc. Trying to keep moving. I'll update more on this later. I'm tired and aggrivated at the moment.

Trucking may be trucking, however, until you have walked in another shoes your opinion doesn't mean jack ####. My dispatchers always knew they could count on me to run miles no matter the situation. I never turned down a load, and the only 2 loads I was late on in a year of running were equipment malfunctions. I had a truck that required being jumped off on a DAILY basis, and I ran it like crazy. However, when it came to trying to get home on time it never happened, I also had hell getting equipment repaired. When the repairs did occur, amazingly payroll never got my my receipts the first time (sometimes 3) they were scanned so my paychecks took hits I had to fight to get the money back.

BP FFE was an overall good started company. Make sure you dot your I's, cross your T's, and keep every bit of paperwork though. Invest in a decent filing folder and keep everything, Never trust the company if you think there is a payroll mistake fight and make sure they can prove where you;re wrong because they will find a way to steal from you if they can.

Agreeing with Lonewolf completely as I have the same issue's. Week before last they shorted me 237 miles. Called payroll, couldn't get that lazy ##### to get it done so I contacted my FM via QC and did the math and sent it and he said ok, we will get it taken care of. Picked up one load that picked up late, wasn't my fault because I had gotten out of the shop at 14:00 that after when it should have picked up at 07:00 that morning knowing #### good and well they could have dead headed or even bobtailed a truck from the yard to Tyler to pick it up and it would have made it on time. Needless to say, I couldn't make the drop on time because my hour's didn't play in favor and it took to long to get through traffic and find the place which ate up a good bit of time. Ended up sitting in W. Memphis, AR. from Friday morning until Wensday morning. Told them that was some BS to make me have to sit with a load for so long and loose out on miles and it not even being my fault.

Dispatcher got me hooked up though. Normally we don't get paid while under a load but because I had to sit 5 day's with it plus being in a dead freight area, he did his best and hooked me up with $150 extra. Getting home was a pain in the ### this week. Dropped a load in Houston and finally got unloaded by 07:45. 14 hours clock was started and was getting ready to head home. Told me no, planner is working on a load there. Finally arguing and staying on their ### and burning hour's, I finally got the ok to dead head home at 14:00. Sent a message back saying "I told you guy's you wouldn't be able to get a load into Shreveport. No company ever has that I've worked for. Then told them if they can't ever get me home on the day that I ask then obviously you need to quit hiring in my area. Lucky I made it home in time to get cleaned up and make court the next morning.

I've learned with these people that you have to put in 1-2 before the date you actually want to be home or you'll never make it. One thing I can say is that they do not believe in their driver's going home.

And yea, I watch my check for those repairs real close along with my miles. If it's not close to the number I have figured before payroll is sent out and payroll comes out with a number that is far from my figure then I start looking to see where it is then call and tell themn to fix it and get it wired to my account asap. As long as you watch it and not expect it to be there then they won't try and cheat you because they know which driver's do and don't watch their paychecks.

I was just tired of the sitting at grocery warehouses and being out 3 weeks at a time. Jb offered me better money and more home time so here I am

I give him kudo's for an honest answer and not whinning about it. I know I'm tired of this #### too but I just have to suck it up and deal with it for now. Maybe something better will come along later on.

Ya know what I find funny though. Is how everyone say's at FFE, if you don't like there or you screw up they will hand you the number to J.B. Hunt. I wonder if there's really a connection there...

I would appreicate any info, my friend and I are thinking of starting out with FFe teaming. We both are aware of their rep but since I am a hand who has been out of the game for awhile, and he will be a student that's 21 they seem like the best fit any idea of miles we can expect? Anything less than 5000 would not be great could probably gut it out with min. of 4000, thanks for all the help!
