You know I get paid $15,000.00 a year for the 26 weeks that I don't work, I kinda consider it perdium, so it is possible.

I am not even a truck driver and don't understand perdiem, but if that was the case, there would be many people begging to be truck drivers not a driver shortage like it really is!

I doubt he did! He might look into making sure the tax preparer did the taxes right. Now maybe being head of house hold and other deductions help in this big check, but I still doubt it. I can't say for sure though, but that is my thought about it; not saying much.:headbang: (my favorite dude is back)

My job is a little different, I drive 25% of the day and 75% is out of truck in freezing weather, waiting for commands over the radio, pump lead tank, I pull a lever and wait for another command... The hardest part is connecting the iron, but it's also the warmest task outside...because it keeps you moving. I could give you the company name, just don't give my name as a reference, because I don't know your work ethic. Oh and its 16+ hour days, and DOT regulations don't apply, thats why our trailers weigh 264,000 lbs.

I wonder if he's getting perdiem for the milage the trainee drives as well. which if they train as a team and not a true trainer he could make that.
Werner only pays like $.32 so I have a hard time seeing the 82K figure. That's what they offered me with 12 years exp when I politely told them where to stick there $.32

I don't know how Werner works their trainig program, but I am familiar with a couple of other outfits. Their programs worked like this:

Trainee gets a flat rate per day.

Trainer gets paid for all miles, trainer pluss trainee. If per diem is paid, trainer gets per diem for all miles there as well.

In this case it would be easy to get 130k miles. considering even if the trainer sits up front the whole time he can still get paid for 14 hours of driving a day since once his student runs to his 11 hours he can jump in the seat for another 3 hours.
When I spoke to werner they just offered me that rediculas cpm rate and never mentioned the perdiem. That's odd. I knew about it but had forgotten aparently. It wouldn't have mattered anyways if they only pay it once a year. I need money every week
