Rest Stops and Weak Bladders

As young as I am, I STILL have "stage fright" and tend to avoid the truckstop restrooms whenever possible. There are always creepy weirdos that take their time washing their hands while staring at everyone, people taking forever doing a number one or number two; there is always that ONE guy that stands at the sink with his shirt off taking care of hygiene issues there, and the place is always over-crowded and reeks of cigarettes and bad BO. Just how many people have to use the restroom at once all of the time?, LOL!

 

As a lady trucker this was definitely a problem for me so I ventured into my local Walmarts Camping section and purchased a porter potty. Now when there's no place to go I can at least park and use the potty. A lot of rest area's have dumps for RV's so when the potty needs to be emptied I just pull into the RV dump. If an RV dump isn't available I can always just carry the container into the rest area bathroom and empty it in the toilet. Another benefit to the potty is that once I got caught in one of those freak, fast moving snowstorms in the Sierra's, I had to pull over because there was zero visibility. Sometime during the early morning a snowplow came through and literally buried me. Temps had risen well above freezing and the snow was melting but not fast enough so I emptied my potty in front of the drive tires to help melt the snow. It worked and I was able to get moving again without having to drag out those heavy chains.

 

In one of the many threads on this subject, I posted about the dude who was in mad rush to get to the can, as I'm washing my hands to leave, he's in the stall and it sounded like he had 200 cherries up his arse and when they came out it sounded gross, but I still laughed. Sometimes crowded bathrooms are amusing, watching guy's cussing each other out on who's going to get the one non broken mirror etc....

I just try to make the best of every situation.
