I drove for them for 5 years. The only reason I'm not there now is that they didn't have enough work for me. I live 2 hours away from the yard in Midland and they just didn't have enough to do in my area.

wow, so you would drive 2 hrs to the yard everyday? Im going to be working outa the lubbock yard, this is my first tank job. The guy that interviewed me said I should avg about 200 a day, does that sound about on par with what you made, before it got slow?

I was able to take the truck home every night. When I started we were hauling a lot out of Abilene back to Sweetwater. Most days $200 was a slow day. I did really good with them, things just got slow and I couldn't make it anymore.

    sandal0906 Thanks this.

    hey sandal0906,
How is it working for Flying Star? I've been looking into driving with them at the El paso yard. i would like to ask you some questions if you don't mind. What are the runs and pay avg for starters? anything bad or good?

Hey txbear not sure if your still looking into flying star or not. I'm not to sure about the el Paso drivers pay and runs. I think we only have a handful of drivers running over their. If I'm not mistaken el Paso is a satellite that is ran by our midland yard. As for the company itself, I think it's a pretty good company to work for. Real easy going, as long as you just come to work and do your job. You can avg about 200 a day in LBK, which isn't all that great compared to some of the other fuel haulers, but it has it's give and takes. No slip seat, you work a 5 an 2 schedule, an again they are real easy to work with if you need to take a day off or ever have any problems. If you can think of anything else to ask just let me know.

yes don't waste your time,i was there for one yr..owners are the best mgr sucks team leaders have no clue to what they are doing and raises are a true lie you work hard one week and sit home the next, they don't even know how to service and properly supply their customers on a regular basis..all you get is plenty of PTO HOURS ,personal time off and they use them topay you since you hardly work or get enough hours ,,please stay away
