Hello guys I'm trying to figure out about what my empty weight might be. I just got this truck and haven't put it on a scale yet.
The truck is a 02 KW W900L with 86" studio sleeper, 300" wheel base, the trailer will be a 96", 48' flat bed (steel) with all the chains and binders, tarps and a side kit. The truck with about 1/2 tank of fuel. Anybody have a good guess at the weight of this thing. The tractor with 1/4 tank of fuel weighed in at a little over 19000 so whats a flat bed weigh.
    Thanks

28000 to 32000 depending on the trailer specs

Steel flat with steel wheels is a lead sled, a lightweight sidekit will help but if it's plywood be prepared for 32+.

I think your going to be around 33,000 light on fuel and over 34,000 with fuel ,by the time you ad the binders, chain ,tarps and everything else you probably go around 35,000 lbs ready to hit the road, when you get your empty weight post it here.

To answer your question that flat bed should be around 14,000lbs.

    That's one heavy ### flat.

The Shaker Classic I'm driving right now with half a tank of fuel and a dry van weighed in at just a few hundred over 32k.

I had a long 379 weigh in behind me with an all steel lead trailer of a b-train and he weighed 35k. Sure it had 3 axles but only had 28' of deck, lightweight sidekit and aluminum wheels. Steel trailer is a killer. His was a Fontaine so it was heavier than most due to the big frame but still extremely heavy.
