Look bottom line is, should of, could of, would of, but didn't.
This situation of living within 5 feet of a stranger is unique to Drivers and pilots, but even pilots get brakes.
This creates a situation that is very difficult on the very best day, I would hesitate calling either one a jerk or worse.
Real bottom line is maybe your husbands place is actually home with you. Maybe he feels guilty for not being where he feel he should be, causing a situation that is not resolvable with the trainer.
Theres alot of stuff your husband is battling with mentally and maybe physically. I have been there done that, and trained alot of drivers some female some male and I know very few of them were cut out for this life style, and even the one who are have alot of adjusting to do. Much easier to handle as a solo driver.
You know there are some people that just do not belong together. I have had cubs want to kick my butt because I would not let them smoke in the truck or trailer, or because I insisted they take a shower after unloading baby formula in Dallas during the month of August.... Just people are different and until he's assigned to his own tractor he's going to have to man up and deal with it.

look if noone has anything good to say then don't it at all. Apparently u must b those type of mentors that I would find and have to kick ur a--. I don't care I will express my feelings however i see fit and is the truth. I am not the type of person who will let anyone talk to me or my family like that. I will not hold anything back. I am not afraid to express myself and not afraid to p--- that person off.

Butterfli, I think alot of people gave you good advice and most were nice about it. I know your upset. But your last post isn't neccessary. You say you arent afraid to express yourself, neither are they. No one should have to be afraid to do that. You may not agree or like all the opinions you see, thats life. Don't let it get you upset, take the advice that you feel will work for you and forget the rest.

But after this "challenge and threat", I now wonder who is actually the one calling the shots in the family. It sounds like you are the boss and have everything done YOUR way...and only YOUR way. but if hubby is anything like you, or follows your lead like a whipped puppy, it could easily be that he IS the problem on the Mentors truck. And since you weren't there when these incidents happened, only taking the words of your husband for the details of what actually happened...perhaps the husband exaggerates and makes up stories to impress or get the sympathy of boss lady wife.
In any case...your tirade was uncalled for and actually insulting to all of the posters here who offered you help and advice. You, maybe, should come down off that high horse you like to perch on, and one day your threat won't be ignored or passed off, but some trucker won't be so kind and will take you up on your offer to kick a--, and your a-- will be the one trying to get up off the ground!
Don't ask for help or vent on others unless you are willing to accept advice offered from those who know...unlike you who don't know!NDBADLANDS, ptropixxx, luvmytruckcake and 2 others Thank this. -
A good woman is a good woman...No matter where she's from!
My wife is Indonesian and sounds just like the O/P!
I have respect for any woman that stands by her man without question.
As far as the whole Swift thing goes...All of the mega carriers that have training programs have horrible trainers as well as good ones...
It sounds like her husband got ane of the "cliche" bad trainers that we all hear about from time to time.
I hope it works out for him in the long run.Injun Thanks this. -

Thank u Blackw900 for ur comment. I do appreciate MOST of the advices and thank everyone that gave me and my husband good advice we thank u. My point and question is: Do these trucking companies allow mentors to get away with this, what I call it abuse? I mean Mentors SHOULD be more patient with the person they r teaching and NOT put them down in personal ways. I don't mean to sound rude but it is really frustrating when it seems like some r supporting the mentor.
And as for "Otherhalftw" Yes I know "I don't Know". And as for ur remark about who's the boss now that is not correct. We r both equal to each other. There is no "who's the whipped puppy" or anything like that around here. Apparently u have been in the trucking business for along time "14 yrs" but I think time has changed. but that "Is just my opinion".Last edited: Jun 20, 2010
