I dont know why everyone had to get all over this guy like this for his ideas.

Honestly, I think he should run flatbed and he for the most part wont have the issue. Unless he has a religious problem with military equipment, etc.

But seriously, there's always going to be something offensive to be hauled. What if you picked up a load from a print shop, and the bill of lading said "printed books"...You pull away from the dock and go back to close the door, and you realize they just loaded you full of Korans? Or if you were islamic, a load full of bibles? It's a little too late at that point, isnt it?

But i haul a lot of stuff that i have know idea what i'm hauling until I get there to get it on the truck. I had to pick up a load from some place with a weird name, like "something something pennsylvania something". I pull in and go in the shipping office, next thing you know i'm being handed a stack of corrosive placards and a bill of lading for Deka car batteries. Oh, and the place was in a residential area. Heh... :)

Issiah53 that would reduce your employment options by a great deal. The majority of trucking companies haul booze. Someone posted earlier most people are responsible enough to drink to excess. Its also possilbe that you are allergic to booze and thats why you had the reaction.

Very possible. Usually, alcohol poisoning doesn't give you a 105 fever for three days no matter how much you drink(DAMHIK). That does sound like more of an allergy than anything.

Frieght is freight. It's locked up in the trailer and it brings food to the table for many people. By all means haul what you want that's your choice. It may be stupid to some but it's your right to see things the way you want to.

Uhm, yeaaah. It doesnt say beer is bad. It says drunkards are bad. Theres a big difference between drinking and being a drunkard.

Infact, as far as i know they didn't have beer back then. So all these scriptures I will reference refer to wine. But it's the same thing...its a fermented alcoholic drink. Therefore, as far as i care, to condemn one is to condemn the other. They're just made out of different things.
What about Proverbs 31:6, "Give strong drink to him who is perishing, And wine to him whose life is bitter."?

And Matthew 9:16, where Jesus, arguing with the pharisees, is comparing converting people to christianity to pouring wine in a wineskin? "Nor do people put new wine into old wineskins; otherwise the wineskins burst, and the wine pours out and the wineskins are ruined; but they put new wine into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved."

In John 2:4-8, Jesus turns water into wine! Why would he do that if alcohol is such a horrible thing? And it was at a wedding, with a lot of people in attendance....I bet some of them got drunk off it too. But....That's not really Jesus' fault.

Ephesians 5:18, 1 Timothy 3:3, condemns drunkenness, but does not condemn the drink in moderation.

BUT heres the kicker! 1 Timothy 5:3 CLEARLY SAYS TO DRINK WINE!!!!! "No longer drink water exclusively, but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent ailments."

Why would the bible specifically and obviously instruct people to drink wine?

And dont even tell me that its ok to drink wine and not beer.

    Really stretching here, aren't we????

The passage mentions "drunkards". Nothing about drinking.
Like I mentioned earlier, all things in moderation.

Else where the bible mentions "gluttony".
Far more of us are guilty of that than we are of being a "drunkard".

I was raised very religious. Believe me folks will find a passage in the bible
to support what ever twisted and off the wall belief they can come up with.
The cult I was raised in sure could. I believe that one should take it literally.
They could get very deep into the types and shadow belief of what they THOUGHT
the bible said, or what they wished it said.

To the OP, as someone said best bet is to go flat bedding. In general any company that claims "christianity" will not find that a deal breaker when it comes to freight and #### sure will not protect you or your wallet from the KY express they will rain down on you at their convenience.

To the rest get a life. If people want to live their life following man made morality plays that is their choice. People make choices in their life based on many myths and beliefs. He chooses to believe the most popular.
