truck driving for prime

All qualified solo company drivers can start at $0.30 - $0.34 per mile (based on previous driving experience) with the base pay going up to $0.42 per mile...

So lets say you started out getting getting .30 a mile at 3200 miles a week thats $960.00 week b4 taxes so lets say $250.00 goes for taxes & what not.. that leaves you $710.00. Now you say you only made $125.00 week that just about $600.00 in cash advances in a week. Something dont add up here

 

When they whine about Prime, it usually doesn't add up.

 

10 years ago.... .36 a mile was top starting pay for someone with my experience.

Today, it is lower. Much lower at some companies.

BTW, construction in this area is paying $18+ now. Same as it was a couple of years ago.

 

Ok, it's clear humor is not your forte.

 

Companies that pay lower wages are not 100% at fault. With the current trend of constantly rising inflation, constantly rising taxes, more people applying for money sucking social programs that are mostly ineffective, and constant rising costs of health benefits, then it's a wonder how most of these companies survive in America today. All of this combined with greed from both the do-nothing-useful government and the typical business corporation. The result? An American worker that has to work longer just to receive less compared to wages in the past.

Moving back on topic, arguing with new Prime drivers is just like trying to swim to the bottom of the ocean. Seems like a good idea at first until your brain implodes. Just let those guys keep living the dream of making more money than they did at their last company.

Now you're going overboard. I'll agree some folks have legitimate gripes, but for the most part what I see on the "bad" company side are drivers whining about their own shortcomings, lack of understanding of what they're getting into, and a juvenile desire for the world to conform to their own idea of how things should be.
