OH so this is your worry about donating?

YOU are worried that you will have to pay me for my services?

I TAKE NOTHING from the BOARD!

MY time is more valuable then a price tag to me.

YOU think you are the only one who has earned it the hard way??

    That's funny!! LOL................

I have never had a silver platter in my possession!

I really suggest that you take notarps suggestion and purchase yourself a Webster dictionary and make yourself aware of the word anonymous and the word donate.

What does anyones donating or not donating have to do with you? Why are you concerned with mods or admin's titles? How does that effect you? Why worry about other posters? All of us have rules and regs to abide by. Why are you making such a big deal out of this? If you don't want to give then don't. If you think those that gave get special treatment then surely those that don't and want to buck up would be banned. I guess that isn't the case because you are still here. Cybergal is a admin because she is good at what she does and puts a lot of herself into this board to make it nice for everyone. Even the yardbirds that try to give her grief all the time.

I had a silver platter once. I lost custody of it my first go-round.

no...........i'm not asking what you "take from the board".............i'm asking how much is the ratio between "donators" and non "donators" whom have become mods or admins...........

did you "donate" money, and soon after became a mod (first), then an admin...??

i'm "talking about" things i earned over the years, working for and "earning", not geting them by "donating" to recieve them..........

i don't have a sliver platter either..........its usually "tin foil" or "chinette" for me...........

and i HAVE a websters dictionary, downloaded/installed into my pc.........

it still doesn't tell me the ratio i wanted to know, and someone here on these boards DOES HAVE that answer, starting with ALL the mods/admins (cute ones accounted for already)...............

why the "secrecy" of how some people become mods/admins.......if you didn't donate, you just say so...........but silence speaks volumes of what i've been saying all along.............the "donators" get special privledges or treatment over everyone else..........

Being an admin/mod has nothing to do with donating!

Do you understand that so far??

NO One here get's special treatment for donating or not donating.

    Do you understand that??

Anonymous donating....means admins/MOD are anonymous as well.

Do you understand this so far??

So basically IF people donate they will NOT get special treatment no matter their TITLE!

    Do you understand this??

this was all started by the original poster, whom shall i say is no longer involved here.............
this thread was going to go no place without me saying something regarding special privledges, to those that do donate, like being "asked" to be a moderator, ar an administrator. to "donate" tells me that a person is "buying into" something, especially if at all places the web. to "donate" to a charity like the american cancer society, makes a person "feel good" about trying to help others in finding a cure. but to "donate" for the sake of a web site is totally different. what else can a person dervive from donating to a web site if only to "gain" personal attention, and some sort of "promotion" with rank and privledges........???

to "donate" to a web site, and maintain the same rules/regualtions.....??

i think not. this wouldn't be "the same web site" since it will then be "paid for" and open to all people, words, inuendos, sayings, etc, etc. you wouldn't be able to "keep a lid" on the old rules anymore, as people would want "freedom" to express themselves since they are now paying....

Let me sink your theory then. Not that it is any of your biz, but I have not donated or bought from the store and I am a mod. I am not paid. I like to help others and have a good time as well. I have made a lot of friends on here. I will not change my beliefs for anyone. If I am ever put in a spot where I am asked to hold my opinions then the mod status can go. Your out in space thinking on this subject has left orbit. I like to help the board by being a mod. Without mods it is like an army without NCO's. They are there for a reason. We as mods hold opinions, values an ideas. We do not always agree, but have the same goals.

If you knew the headaches that a admin or mod has to deal with then you Might understand, but I doubt it. I was a former admin/mod from another site. My reputation from that is what got me as a mod here. I did not buy into anything. No one owns me. Now I do not expect this to make sense to you.
