Hi all,
I have a friend who is an O/O for Enterprise Transportation. He says he does quite well with them. I know some general info about them, plus what I've read on their website.
Just wondering if anyone who is a current, or former employee, could share some info about them.

I would like to hear from some guys who are currently working for this outfit or who have worked for them in the past. I am really interested in the pay and the cost of family health ins. to the driver. B.T.W. this is the tanker outfit from Houston, TX.

Does anybody know about this company i've seen their trucks. but i dont know anything would be helpful

Enterprise Transportation is the trucking arm of a much larger "Conglomerate" that includes chemical plants, natural gas processing facilities and pipelines, liquid product pipelines, and electricity generation.
The drivers have the same benefits as the rest of the "company" employees, and every one of them I have ever talked with, are happy with the company. You need a darned good work record to get on with them.

They are not as good a company as they were though. A couple of months ago they initiated some compensation cuts that have made it not much better than anywhere else.
We used to get hose wash pay of $15.00-gone
We used to get $50.00 layover for every 12 hrs, we now have to be without dispatch for 24 hrs to get $100.00.
We used to get paid the first 4 hrs of a breakdown and then get paid 1 out of every 3 thereafter up to 10. Now we give the first 4 hrs of a breakdown and then get paid 1 out of every 3 thereafter up to 8. (And my truck is constantly breaking down)
We used to get a motel if on the road for your 34 hour reset. Now we have to stay in the truck.
8 holidays instead of 10
If I thought it was a financial problem I would be more understanding. But the economy is on the upswing and they're initiating these changes. Also the owner just died and I believe it's a management change that will only get worse
I wouldn't recommend them if you have the opportunity to get on with Highway, Miller or Superior.
If they get into our medical or retirement I'll be looking elsewhere.Last edited: Jun 23, 2010

I do need to correct something I said above though---- We do get a motel for 1 night of our 34hr restart.
Did you decide to go with them? -
I have it down to them and Kenan. Kenan's pay works out to be lower, but the position is local, for a 2pm - 11pm shift, overtime after 44 hours, pay 15.50 per hour. Also, Kenan's terminal is an hour away from where I live, so that translates to a 2 hour commute each day. Enterprise's is a regional position, where I'd be out for 5-6 days, then home for a day or two. How much hometime do you get, and what's your average weekly pay working out to, if you don't mind me asking ?
