    How does dac work????
If a company report the wrong information does it stay on there forever???
If you get in a accident 5 years ago will it still show up????
Basically what im getting around to is do things fall off or stay on??
If i were to take a break from trucking for 4-6 years then decided to go back on the road will my old stuff on my dac show up???

It falls off after 7-10 years.

You can also contest items on it.

You dont have to get out of trucking because of dac report. Allot of small companies dont check DAC. Then there are some companies that will hire as long as there insurance says yes. But when it comes to these types of companies it usually means run hard!!

DAC,USIS, HireRight is exactly like a credit report. They are covered by the same law as a credit report. DAC/USIS just isn't as cooperative and user-friendly as the credit reporting agencies.

You have a legal right to challenge the entries on your "DAC" and you have a right to one free copy per year or a free copy if you are denied employment based on your report.

Here's a link to get your report or challenge the info on your report.
(hopefully the link won't be removed by the moderator) Just Google "hireright consumer applicants" and it should be the first result.

Check your DAC as the above mentioned. Companies will tell you they are putting accidents on your report just to give reason to steal your money. You may find there is nothing on your DAC after all and your fretting over nothing.
