    Well you know............... :biggrin_25523:

But then we run into a very plain bible commandment. Unlike the drinking issue that one is spelled out.

Ya know, I've known people from the whole range of the political spectrum, from the extreme left to the extreme right, and everywhere in between. The one thing they've all had in common for me was that they all were genuinely nice people. Nobody was evil, or was out to destroy the country. They just really believed in their hearts that their ideas were the best way to go. It seems this country has degenerated to the point where people automatically hate the others based on beliefs. Neither conservatives nor liberals have all the solutions. Disagreeing with someone else, even very strongly, over ideas is great and should be encouraged. It presents differing opinions and all sides on how to solve a problem. It'd be nice to go back to the days where differing political beliefs can be civilly debated (if they ever existed), and afterwards people of all beliefs can still treat each other with respect and kindness. You can strongly disagree, but there's no reason to hate someone just because they may have a different opinion or political position.

Actually it really should say "Thou shalt not murder". It was ok for israelites to engage in bloody battles, killing lots of people to take control. It was ok for god to kill people that were "evil". It was even OK to have your children stoned to death if they acted like most kids these days. http://thebricktestament.com/the_law/when_to_stone_your_children/dt21_18a.html

Don't forget that if your brother dies without children, and you refuse to marry his wife, she gets to spit in his face.

Don't forget that if you're an unmarried female who is raped, you are to be FORCED TO MARRY YOUR RAPIST. http://www.thebricktestament.com/the_law/rape/dt22_23a.html

My favorite one, which Jehovah's witnesses still say you must follow (if you dont have proper facilities i mean), is the Defecation chapter. http://www.thebricktestament.com/the_law/camp_defecation/dt23_09p12-13.html ...my question is, why would anyone not have the common sense?

In some cases you must stone your whole family. http://www.thebricktestament.com/the_law/when_to_stone_your_whole_family/dt13_06-08.html

But you cant hang anyone too long. http://www.thebricktestament.com/the_law/how_long_to_hang_somebody/dt21_22.html

And you cant go to church if you lack genitalia, unless you are female. http://www.thebricktestament.com/the_law/male_genital_injury/dt23_01a.html

And its ok to be racist. http://www.thebricktestament.com/the_law/racial%20tolerance/dt23_03a.html

I'm sorry but this site sums up the stupidest chapters that i'd be quoting anyway, without all the extra stuff, without copying/pasting anything, and with extremely humorous pictures.

I'm not going to flame the OP for his belief. It's nice to know there are still people out there with values and willing to back their values. Whether I agree with it or not. This person believes he was saved from death by Jesus and that his purpose in life is to help others not suffer the experience he did. He feels that his involvement in supplying intoxicating beverages to various parts of the country would be contrary to that belief. That's okay with me. It means there will be one more load for me to pick up and haul.

Although I'm not a subscriber to the Christian faith, there are many good things about it and in many cases, someone becomes a better person as a result of it. I subscribe to the Native Ways and follow them very closely...which means I do not drink wine, beer or liquor. Yeah, I know...don't get all over me about all the drunk Indians you see everywhere. I've been on the Rez. But that doesn't mean I'm not going to haul it for those who do drink.

Besides, I found out a long time ago this Injun and alcohol ain't nothing but a bad idea.
