If you run 287 south out of Amarillo stop at Monroes fruit stand. Their tomatoes and peaches heve warts and bumps on them but when you cut them open you can actually smell that good aroma and the taste is equally good. Most of the store bought stuff you don't know what you are eating by taste or smell.

I did not know that about the tuna from Subway. It is still healthier to eat that then it is something loaded with mayo and all the other crap they have thats filled with fat.

One thing I do even though it may not be the best steaks is I use to eat the steak or just grilled chicken from either petro or T/A resturants. Those foods to me were not bad and I would get the salad bar and of course NO RANCH!!! Just some italian or just some oil and viniger. Cant go wrong with that.

Is that the place around Childress or close w/ 2 stands on either side of the road? Have noticed it many times and meant to stop.

What ever works for you is what is best for you. I don't care what any of these talking heads say. One size of anything doesn't fit all. Last couple of years I have kind of gone back to what my mother and grandmother fed us. Lots of different colors. Green, yellow, red, orange, etc. Lot less taters than they used. I will eat a sweet potato once a week or so. Used to not stand them. But as you get older they say you lose taste buds and the bitter and such taste good. Must be true.

I think truckers will be forced to be healthy. Workout centers could be a benefit to us all. We need to do something to extend our lives and careers. Why do you think only a few would use a center

You can't force somebody to be healthy.

Have you looked around you at a truckstop lately...Fat, Lazy, Filthy, Ignorant slobs!

Just to be fair though...I was in Boise, Id. yesterday and there was a tall skinny ATS driver there that was buying about $15 worth of chicken wings and an energy drink that stunk to high heaven and looked like a homeless bum.

So, It's not just the fat guys.

The current administration will try because they are all about power and control over their "subjects".

100% absolutely TRUE!! even knowing all the consequences of any unhealthy habit be it fat, sugar, sodium, smoking, drugs, alcohol or even lot lizards. No one can force you, guilt you, make you do anything you are NOT READY to do! There are many 'stages' that we all must go thru from basically not even thinking that that is bad for me, to yeah I know it's bad but I am not willing to give it up, to well maybe I should consider this now, to gathering information and then action.

I think the idea of a fitness center is good-but like most fitness centers there are only a small portion of people that like to ''go to the gym'' I personally walk, floor exercises, and also all the stuff around the house and yard. I abhor the gym. I think you would get a small percent of people using those that used the gym prior to the current job they are doing.

I do this for a living what is considered health coaching and trust me-for the most part I am 'told' what I want to hear but know that I am told that. It's hard to make goals for our health that are realistic in nature and then when we don't meet that goal not feel bad about ourself.

Again I think a good idea but don't see it as feasible and agree with many who posted that for the most part the stuff would be trashed. This would be in a T/S where people can't be bothered to walk in the building to pee -instead let it go in the parking lot.
