"This was forwarded to me and it indeed unlocked my Motorola Tundra phone,Im still with AT&T but my phone is now unlocked"

    Good luck with it! :biggrin_255:

    Unlock Code: 7752705847935273
    AT&T Mobility
Below are the handset specific instructions for unlocking "your specific model of phone"(NOT TRUE). The customer only has five (5) tries to unlock the phone. If this process is unsuccessful five times in a row, the phone will be permanently locked to the Cingular network. If there are any problems with unlocking your handset, please call 1-800-331-0500 and a Customer Service Representative will be able to assist you. Once again, thank you for choosing AT&T Mobility and have a good day.
Please do not respond to this email, as you will not receive a response.

    Motorola instructions:
    -Insert non-Cingular SIM card
    -Power on the handset
wait a few moments allowing your phone to fully power up
-you will be prompted to enter the unlock code
    -Enter unlock code
    -Press OK
-the handset is then successfully unlocked

OK,if it doesn't work after 1-2 attempts it will be your fault if your phone gets locked.

The instructions are very clear on the procedure,it opened mine on the first attempt.

I think it just allows it to be used on systems different than the one it was sold on.

    My phone ???

Hell I have 3 "my phones". All were used on AT&T, and are not worth using on another system. I usually wear them out over the course of a 2 year contract.

I have a 2 1/2 yo LG that I replaced with a new Motorola, that lasted less than 2 weeks in my truck. I'm back to using the old LG.

The only reason I could see for unlocking a phone... If my current carrier didn't offer that model, and it was my phone of choice.
