I worked for fry's as a refrigeration mechanic up until a couple of years ago when I retired.
Great company to work for with pay and benefits at or above industry standards.

Sorry, guys...got unloaded, had dinner with daughter. In fact, she picked me up at the Pee-lot and had a bunch of #######es looking at her like she's a piece of meat. I got the dog out and when she told me what happened, I got b****y on the radio a bit. And I meant every word I said. You think you're going to get after my daughter, you have to go over top of me first.

But I'm not at the p-lot anymore. I'm at our drop yard across town.

Well, guys will be guys and I understand that. However, not every female they see in a truck stop is there for their enjoyment. My daughter is very pretty and quite shapely. But that does not make her eye candy for some of these lecherous old farts to act like fools and drool over. When we got back from dinner, there were about three guys hanging out in the back area. They didn't look like they were there to do anybody any good. She was going to get out of the car and give me a hug, but I told her, "Just get out of here.....go."

I'm tellin' ya, guys....ya don't mess around with an Injun child. Even if she is almost 21. We were at Jubitz in Portland once and I was ready to tear two guys' heads off for making a comment. I told them to go on about their evening and forget about my daughter and her college roomy. One of them made another comment and I about went ballistic. They looked at me and decided maybe the deli in the store would be a better idea for dinner that night. My girl and her roomy were just looking at each other like, "WTF???? She gonna kill those guys??"

    Injun,
I understand your protective nature regarding your daughter. I have two daughters myself (14 and 21). I no longer leer at other young girls like I used to as they could be someone else's little girl and it ain't right.
I have to ask though. Is that a bear claw necklace in the photo? Or another animal? It's very nice. The reason I ask is I made a bear claw necklace (well, actually a complete outfit, head to toe, for a Cub Scout adult leadership project. Actually I would like to PM you and get your thoughts on that if you don't mind) where I carved the bear claws from basswood and used a candle to singe the wood to darken it and while it was hot, rubbed the wax into the wood to give it the feel of a real bear claw. Unfortunately it still doesn't look as good as the real thing but in low light or from a distance it is hard to tell. Anyway it is a very beautiful necklace that your daughter is wearing. Is there a story attached to it? I am sorry, that may be too personal. Forgive I must seem like a rambling idiot.
