Not sure which version Mark. I brought it home, plugged it in and docked it and followed the prompts and allowed it to update without trying anything fancy or changing the auto update process. As far as "avoids" I believe I left that to the default settings.

    Mark Kling Thanks this.

I was reading something on-line that led me to believe that the Co-Pilot was a Garmin product. Can anybody confirm that?

It still does not automatically alphabetize them. But with the new custom POI manager, if I had "1000's of Favorites" to put in I would import them as a custom POI set and not use the "favorites" feature at all. That way could sort and organize them on my computer first in any order that makes the most sense to me.

In my opinion it should alphabetize them automatically though.

Preciate it DB. I was reading more today and realized I confused Street Pilot with the others.

Aaah yes. "StreetPilot" is indeed a registered trademark of Garmin.

My Rand TND 700 paid for itself the first week out the chute. Great product; if Angelina Jolie were the last woman on earth and only wanted me but I'd have to give up my 700...well, I'd give up the 700 but not without regrets.

    I ain't stupid.

My Garmin 255w has pretty well gotten me where I asked it to go,these last two years.
    I have a borrowed 456T that hasn't showed me anything the 255w hasn't

Whatever GPS system you buy make sure you get the software for TRUCKS not 4 wheelers. There are TOO MANY drivers buying GPS sysytems that are designed for cars and then wondering why they ended up under a low bridge or on restricted roads.

Personally I WILL NEVER buy one. Its a waste of time and money. If I think the directions I get from a shipper or reciever sound goofy I look them up on line if theire location cant be found on the map. Good luck to ya and be safe
