Martin....The Ashland-Siskyou grade is regulated to 18 mph for 80K loads IIRC....I don't run that grade much anymore...I usually cut over through Weed and up through Doris....less bullsheyat by not hitting the coop in Ashland...

LOL mine had done the same at one time but thats because I put a set of stage II 180CC injectors on it....

Sad to say its got the stock ones back in it and is still running strong. It hydrolocked doing about 70 driving back to CA from IL and it didnt do a thing to the motor. That was at about 165K and now I am at about 200K on it.

Wow, YOU going to an aero truck and red iron? This must be a sign of the end times.

Anyways, the ISX jakes are noticeably stronger IMO. Snap your neck a bit.

I don't know....when I use to run it....I get a mile to the coop and see all of the NAFTA rigs that blew by me parked on the side with their brakes smoking.....Ashland looks for that....nice source of revenue enhancement for OR....:biggrin_25523:

So you run 97 to 58 to Eugene? How is 58, never been on it. I hear it's only 4 miles longer to go that way vs 5 with all the bs, if 58 is anything like 97 then that would be a huge fuel saver.

The jakes on my acert feel good. Seems to be the same or slightly stronger than the 6nz's on MBN (stock) we have.

Jakes on the ISX are so incredible because of the Variable Geometry Turbo, it shuts down to 70% "CLOSED" when braking power is needed. Normally its only about 30-40% "CLOSED". But make no mistake - no CAT guy would have slightest idea about it and so they will be pushing their stupid ideas about their dead engine line and braking power that isn't
