A little about my situation: I drove for CRST for 3 months. I had to leave do to a family emergancy back home. I havn't drove in about 4 months to help back at home...Well my step father is getting rid of my dog, and is getting remarried, which means I pretty much have to leave...I saved all my money to get my CDL and don't have a contract with CRST if your wondering
I was curious if anyone had any input on a company that will hire me? I currently am working but it's not a driving job. I live in MI, and recently turned 23 and I would like to do flat bed if at all possible. The mega carries that I'm looking into are
TMC
Maverick
I'm busting out looking for every single driving job I can hopefully gain. I have no tickets on my record and clean background. Also would it benifit me to get a TWIC card? How do you go about obtaining one also?
Should I apply to Meijers, Rite Aid, Home Depot places like that? I had a lead on a tanker job (Hauling fuel) but they told me I had to be 25. Is all tanker outfit's like this?
Sorry for all the questions just looking for some suggestions.
Thanks to all!
A little about my situation...Anyone have any ideas?

Hey Philly19
I have a buddy of mine from CDL school working for TMC. He really likes it, despite getting a $15,000 over weight ticket in PA (TMC said they will help him fight it in court). Another guy I know is working for Swift. If you don't mind going on the road you should not have a problem getting on with some of the big companies. I worked for Werner for a very short time doing a DG route, that's not for me.
Not sure if this was helpful and best of luck to ya! -
You are 23, enjoy life and do what you want to do. If you want to drive flatbed, hit the pavement and get your applications out there. I guarantee someone will hire you. If you are serious about trucking get in now (while you are young) and it won't be long before you are an experienced trucker. After a few years buy yourself a truck. A year after that buy another one. You could have your own company by age 30! Keep your license clean and drive like your grandpa. Good luck!

Wow, you got a call back from TMC...
I called them when I applied, they denied my application.
Refused to tell me why.
So I have no love for TMC anymore.
Although I'd be more then willing to guess why.
