ok i am driving a FH -07 (you can see it in my album) i´m hauling what you might call flatbed trailers there are curtains but they can´t hold any cargo, could you tell me what the main differense is between a us truck and a european truck beside the looks.....

Oh man! It looks like what we call a curtainside, both ends fold towards the center? I dragged one for a while.

The biggest difference I know of is that most of our trucks have 2 drive axles. Other differences can be a larger sleeper, and mostly 53 foot trailers. I'm sure there may be differences in the emission controls, and likely some safety items. Most of our trucks are manual transmissions, and possibly larger engines.

I think those could be the biggest differences.:biggrin_25525:

The first time I looked was just at the smaller photo. We have trailers very similar to what you show, except for the tridem. Most of ours are either tandems, or spread axles. In Canada you see a lot of tridems, and a lot of them can be slid like a tandem. Do you guys usually run with the tridem that far forward?:biggrin_25525:

Ok cool i also sometimes pull a chassie with a 45'' reefer container but mostly i pull these curtainslide, it´s about 45'' also. Is there any difference in brakes and electrical equipment that you know of. We have 2 axle driven also but not that many we call it tandem drive we have most three axle trucks with drive on one axle only and our sleepers are a lot smaller than yours mostly because of length regulations

Usually we can´t slide the tridem so we have to think about where we place the load, our trailers are only about 45'' and we load them with about 53000 lbs our totalweight maximum is around 100000 lbs
