Just bought a t600 with those big ### mirrors and If I open the vent or window all I hear is a steady whistling noise. Has anyone had this problem and more importantly has anyone figured out a cure.

Yepper, annoying isn't it? I never found anything to prevent it, other than keep the window up.:biggrin_25525:

I hade the same problem on a T800, stuff some paper towel around the edge, it works, can post a pic later if you need it

P.S. all that took was a grade 10 education

Mine did it when I was missing one of the screws for the trim piece. Put a new screw in and no more whistling.

thanks for the idea ,s. I know it has to do with the wind hitting the mirror shell and getting inside. Iam thinking change the mirror arm ajustment (front to back) to change the angle the wind hits the shell. worth a try I guess.

  8. I tried changing the adjustment, which worked.............Until the wind or me changed direction. Will try the paper trick tho. I also stuck my power ball mini out the window, and when I held it next to the shell, the whistle disappeared.

I was told to take some silicone and smooth it into the crack where the aero part of the mirror backside meets the frame (that has 6 screws holding it in) on the mirror side. Air whistles as it moves over that crack and silicone will prevent it. I haven't tried it yet on my T600 though. Normally dont have the windows down when driving I always have the sunroof popped up.

    FIB Thanks this.
