Well, have gotten between 3-4 inches of rain so far today and still raining.
-
We could use some of that rain wheathauler. Riceland Jboro closed today. I was supposed to haul fuel today but the clutch went out in the fuel truck friday. I think it's really the clutch this time. Luckily I wasn't driving it at the time.

I would have gladly given you some rain ended up 6-8 inches total. Two days ago bone dry now flooded...doesn't seem weather is normal anymore.

Everbody have a good week. -
highside,do you ever haul bean-meal?
-
Well, we got a downpour in the panhandle but still plenty of fireworks. Crazy weather......... and humid enough to feel there should be a beach close by..... -
Yes, once in a while. Myself, I stick to midds mostly because the rates are a little better (although it's not without added headaches), but our other trucks haul bean meal on a daily basis. It's pretty trouble free if the weather is cool, but once it starts getting hot and/or humid, it'll hang up a little bit. Once you get it started, though, it flows right out. Cargill in Wichita puts calcium carbonate in with their meal to help keep it loose. It helps, but it doesn't work miracles.

dairyman Thanks this. -
Dried out enough yesterday could have gone to work today, except it rained again last night. It might be a blessing anyway. The loads weren't paying very good may not do any. It would take 40% of revenue for just fuel and I get good fuel mileage.
One outfit with hired drivers is hauling out of there. I don't know how they can afford to pay a driver with those rates. I wouldn't think the drivers would make much either.
