When I finished training I just purchased a cb down the road at Loves. I did not want extra

 

baggage. I had my laptop, but did not use it while with trainer. The laptop came in handy when I got my own truck. I had copilot gps and it was extremely helpful in trip planning. My backup was the dry erase directions I put on the upper windsheild.

I have a copilot gps as well. I also have my tom tom which was before I got into trucking. It will usually have the destination if for some reason the copilot does not.
I love the dry erase directions on the windshield. It has saved my but many a time.
I use the Gps, the routing, and especially the directions from the company.
I then verify the destination as much as possible on the atlas.
Even with that, sometimes it is hard to find the destination...but I just keep at it until I get it.

 

Alabama coil certification...never got it.

TWIC...Maverick sent me to get it before I was even assigned a truck.

hey my first post so im thanking about comeing out for trainning worried about giving up job now and some reason not makeing it out there any thoughts on this.do you have to get health card if you all ready have one . do they have idle air . and direct deposit for checks? thanks for any help

Well, I got my Confermation & I will see you folks in Little Rock on Sunday for a week. After that, according to the recruiter, they will then be sending us (Aparently a HUGE CLASS) to Laurinburg for 2 weeks. After that I'll be assigned to a trainer for 21 days.

With the way this hot weather has been here in the carolinas, I can only imagine as to just how much hotter it's going be out there. I just hope there is a place close buy to buy a couple of cases of bottled water while in yard training. (Of course, I prefer Ice Tea, LOL)

Anyone else going on Sunday? I'll be flying in as it was not only faster, got a good deal on a flight & Mav said that they would be reimbursing my anyway. Which is coll with me.
