Gee..let me run out back and just fire up the ol' MIG unit.
Ok, in all fairness, nice idea but me-no-gots.
Besides, the metal is all salt-corroded. If the replacement is $$$ then maybe I can find a friend with a MIG. Otherwise, I think its just off to KW for me.

Geez, any backyard trukker muhcanik worth his salt has an "electric glue gun".

The one in the pic didn't appear to be in too bad of shape other than the swaging that has broken loose. Even if you do end up getting a new one, I'd still take it to a metal wizard and have it attached a little more permanently.Hanadarko Thanks this. -
I agree...My buddy Jon's dad has a MIG/TIG and all that crap. If he is free today and I can find a way to prop the window up (Since I got to take all that stuff out)...
But its supposed to rain later..big time. Thats all I need... -
Its fixed. TIG welded back and painted over. Door is all back together and the window goes up/down as expected. My door light doesnt work now, but in all fairness - I have no idea when it did work last!
Thanks guys... -
no problem. that was the same problem my truck had. at the time i didnt have my electric glue gun. i now have a mig glue gun. has come in handy LOL
