I need advice. I have never had 3 minor traffic tickets in a 12 month period ever before. That is what I am facing now. i have had 1) stop sign violation. 2) speeding ticket 9 miles over. 3) just recently 9 miles over 64 in a 55 going down hill.

in ohio on the third ticket in a 12 month period. it is a mandatory appearance. i am nervous and scared. What should I expect. plus, I have heard about article 1099. Is that an option for me?

Can anyone please give me some advice

Hello and Welcome to the Site:) In my opinion, the speed being under 10 miles over, is a good thing. They say that trouble comes in 3`s... Your best and only choice is to appear in court. The violations will probably stand, you might get a reduction in points or fines. The violations are what companies look at when hiring a driver. The problem that you may incur would be with your employer. Keep us posted and Best of Luck!

the speeding tickets were 9 points over. not about 15. I checked the ohio commercial drivers manual. A serious offense is for speeding tickets above 15. all tickets are considered minor. My employer does not know about either ticket.

Law states you inform your employer !!

Use an attorney for every moving violation !!

In this profession, those are NOT minor violations !!

First set of answers to the question not satisfactory? How many judges do you think you can go through to get the answer you seek on the tickets?

Downhill in a 55! Oh my, trouble controlling your speed? IT'S CALLED A BRAKE...not a break! So three tickets in 12 months...two for the same infraction, and running (or rolling) a stop sign...somebody isn't paying attention to the job at hand!:biggrin_25510:

    Expect to get fired....
You have 2 tickets that your employer should already know about that you say you did not inform them about..
They can fire you just for that!!!!

    jtrnr1951 Thanks this.
