i've heard you have to ignore the lead trailer and just pretend your only backing the pup. I'm strongly considering ordering a set, definately going to practice before trying it in public.

Here is one post I found on the subject
You can back a double roadtrain with practice but...already gone and kickin chicken Thank this. -
B trains are like everything else the more you do it the better you get at it. It take time to get the skills down.
I do agree follow the last trailer around. Remember take your time be safe and if you need (GOAL) get out and look.

I have very limited experience with B train but mine was gathered running from just east of Toronto to the Port of Montreal for about a week.
What he said about forgetting the lead, as well as getting out to look often is important.
I will add to get a suicide knob, and just practice.
I used my spare time just backing into the same spot to try and get used to it.
My palm of my hand was literally burning by the time I was done! -
Yep those little kobs come in handy. I have one on my truck

It's impossible to perfect. You can get better and go further but that's about it. The dolly has two pivot points and soon as you are a hair out of line it goes wild because you can't correct quick enough with your long wheel base compared to the distance between the two pups.

Your thinking of a set of doubles with a converter dolly. A the lead trailer of a B-Train has the 5th wheel attached to the frame rails where they extend out the rear and can be backed anywhere you wish if your good enough. They can make any trailer a b-train. Vans, dumps, bulk tankers, liquid tanks, flats, hoppers ect.CondoCruiser Thanks this.

A set of doubles with a convertor dolly is called an A-train here.
They haul two 53' trailers in combination in Manitoba as well. It is so flat they can do silly stuff like that. -
