Mixed results with 12V appliances. Some work fine, some blow fuses. 115V stuff run off of an inverter are a much better investment - if you can have an inverter in your truck. That depends on your carrier. Also if you plan to put one in on your own... find out how to do it properly. Shorted out inverter wiring is a leading cause of truck fires - burned down to the chassis truck fires!

Yes i have seen some truck fires due to the inverters not put in right. They go up fast and burn long.

you might be surprised what a low watt plugin inverter can run. i uesd a 110 voly sandwitch maker in the truck , not too frequently but it worked. and the cooking times can be done while driving so it does not seem to take as long.saves a lot of time and i know what is in the food i eat. even JB could eat healthy in the truck.

I love it! lol I love to read cooking blogs and cookbooks. I have never read a recipe quite like yours, let cook for 150 miles! that is classic, I can just imagine giving your recipe to a non-driver.

dont forget that cooking times differ in ohio and michigan. any driver can tell you how mutch time 150 miles is and cooking times are never xact. but miles are easy to remember. and can be fun.

So I just cooked my first meal in my Burton Lunchbox: a ham and roast beef melt sandwich with BBQ sauce. Delicious!

Now I'm psyched about this lunchbox. I was wondering if anyone has ever kept a lunchbox recipie book? I suppose I could use a slow cooker recipie book but the portions would be completely different. Really hoping for something tailored to the lunchbox.
