both of the radios are still good (even the one that smoked).
there is a protection diode in the radio (near where the power wires enter the radio) just take it to a radio shop and they will know exactly what to do.
should not cost much, much cheaper than buying a new radio

I'll try hooking the radio up again I may have popped the fuse in the truck. After I heard the pop I switched the wires around. The radio wouldn't come so I took it out and put it in the car. I didn't check the fuse in the truck cause the pop sounded like it came from the radio and it had a slight burnt smell.

Your radio has "protection diodes" built into to it just for this very situation. Should not be a big deal, the diodes are worth about 1.50 at Fry's Electronics. It should take the tech longer to remove the covers than to change to diodes.
Every shop is different, but it should be a whole lot. They may not look blow to your eye but if you check them with a ohm meter or a volt meter you'll find them open. -
Yeap Diode burnt. D8 I believe. They have a polarity to them also. The diode part number is 1n4004 and can be purchased at Radio Shack. If you don't have any experience with Soldering on Circiut boards then bring it to a tech and they can fix it up for you and give it a good bench test. Heck they can tune it up for you for about 50 bucks or less and the diode replacement would probly be free.
