No, but I got a ticket when driving my car on I-80 through Wyoming. I was in some little podunk town. Officer was in front of me and I came up behind him doing 82MPH in a 75MPH zone. He said I was doing 85. Anyway, he gave me a ticket. Seemed like a revenue generator to me. I would get a lawyer to defend the ticket though. I'm sure there are some in Buffalo. Otherwise it will show up on your driving record--yes even tickets from Wyoming show up on it.

    um lessseee....

Speedometers aren't totally accurate on a car. Did you check the speedometer for accuracy? Sometimes rimz like i have on my car can mess it up. Hell, on my motorcycle it'll say you're doing 100 but you're really doing 90!

Radar isn't totally accurate either. Hmm...

82 in a 75 he should of let me go. My speedometer is accurate. The odometer is just a little slow though. He added 3MPH to make it seem worse than it was. He said, "you realize you were going 85MPH!!!?" Well, 82 really, and even if I had been doing 85, that is only 10MPH over. I the Dallas/Ft. Worth area people go 7MPH over the speed limit and don't get tickets. When they go 12MPH over, they get tickets. I always try to drive 5MPH over the speed limit on the interstates--no more. So, I violated my own rule by going 7 over in I-80.

If I had to take 1 speedo over the other, I would trust the police's speedo, they are certified and verified by AAA on a regular basis (at least most departments). A standard passenger car speedo at 82 is off by as much as 5 to 7 mph (according to AAA). Unless you have access to a full size dyno you can't be sure of its accuracy.

7 to 10 over you are volunteering.

More like 3-5. Some are going the zero tolerance route as city and state tax collections drop during this economic recovery.

Mine was 6. I won't go into any detail, other than to say it was completely bogus.

    I paid it anyway.

Why complain? Speeding is speeding PERIOD. I know for a fact that at 35 my speedometer is right on but I have to do 59 on the speedometer to be actually traveling at 55. There is NOTHING that justifies speeding except being chased by a tornado.
