I've been with this company for three weeks now.I'm trying to be as open minded and patient with this company as I can.Especially these days the way trucking companies are cutting back on driver's pay and miles. But, I have my doubts about my longevity with this company.I have had too many bad experiences and alot of aggrivation with poor load planning and unrealistic dispatching. I've had a few loads given to me that couldn't be done legally or safely. Most times they have taken me off these loads when I complain, other times they stick me with it and say do the best I can. Being new,I hate to have to start out complaining about the loads I'm given .But,I don't see how they can honestly expect me or any other driver to run these loads and chance losing our freedom, money and cdl just to get these loads ontime.
I've heard this was a good company to drive for back before the economy went bad.Now I'm hearing alot of complaints and rumors from other drivers that this company went bankrupt and is going out of bussiness. I've heard that alot of drivers are abondoning their trucks. I've also been told by the DOT that this company has as bad a saftey rating a company can get. Also you better carry some cash on you ,this company does not have "EZPass" in the trucks until you are there for 90 days. Gets expensive when going North East.
I'm planning on jumping ship soon,I just don't feel my job is very secure here. I hate to say it .But,I feel this company is the bottom of the barrel as far as trucking jobs go. If I were you I wouldn't waste my time filling out an application for this company. I'll update you later on if things change for the better.

Companies are always trying to get drivers to deliver loads even if they don't have the hrs to do it legally. But remember even if they threaten you with your job, you and only you, can decide whether to do it or not.. If they pressure you just call your safety department, and hr, I'm sure your dispatcher will be taken care of the right way.

the thing about super service is they are only 1/3 of the big picture. super service/ gainey / lct are all the same company. i work for gainey and as a team driver i made good money but i had issues with my team driver (that i will post later) and have gone solo. i too am very unhappy with how preplanners so call work and they seem to have no clue how to keep a driver running unless you run teams. after a drop they dispatched me to grand rapids from outside chicago to just drop a trailer and i have been sitting all weekend. yes it's very irratating but i hate changing jobs but i will if i go thru this again. i have a few companies in my back pocket i am looking at if things don't change. i haven't heard anything about a bankruptsy.

They use to be a pretty good company, but I really didn't think they were still in business. Do you know anything about the new forum jamgears?

Back in the 90s early 2000(i think ) SS was at our food warehouse sometimes 4 times a day .
They hauled alot of Gallon Clorox, they always seemed real happy and easy to deal with.
But it comeing straight off might have something to do with it.
But they where always ontime ,but i don't doubt things have changed .
But sorry to hear things have went to pot for all of them............
