    Finished orientation and training. Got sent up to New Jersey to retrieve a truck. Currently sitting on my first day on the job, and the smart idle is annoying the heck outta me. :biggrin_2556:

    Orientation in Memphis. Training for only two weeks because I'm experienced. Tested through a phony simulator. Trainer was awesome though. I got sent up the drop yard in New Jersey because they were out of trucks in Memphis.

    Greyhound sucks.

    Now here it is the weekend. Not very likely to get a load anytime soon.

    I got a Volvo.

    I'm not sure if it's the same as opti idle. Probably is. You basically set a thermostat in the back and the engine starts up and stops to maintain that temperature and to keep the batteries charged. But the starting sequence is rough as heck.

    Interesting....by the way, I am considering Swift as well, keep us posted when you have time I would like to know how it goes for you.

    All of my paper works show it to be $450. wk while training 1st four weeks & $500 weeks 5 & 6.
    Am I'm missing something???
