Hey indyboy you local 1? My older Brother and my cousin both are local 1 iron workers. O and the money you make truckin I will tell you is nothing like you guys make. Its enough to pay the bills and support your family but nothing like you guys usually make. My brother was telling me some stuff is suppose to be opening up around your area in NW indiana soon. Some old steel mills beaing torn down and then a BP refinery being torn down also.

Worldpax, how long does it take to become a trainer say for me. I already have almost 2 years exp. but I have been out of the game for 4 years.

Also if you can email me or write back on here if you are able to train me when I come to TMC in September or if you know another guy who is an awesome trainer. Thanks all

milskired- minimum 6 mos to be a trainer if your fm and the training dept like you. not sure if you want me as a trainer because i live so far from you. distance from your trainer is usually the primary factor in selecting your trainer.

Worldpax do they have trainers that run OTR and do not go home every weekend? I would rather stay out for about 3 -4 weeks at a time and run as hard as I can for about the first 6 months of working there.

staying out and running hard can sometimes be two different things.
Sometimes you will run over the weekend and sometimes you just sit somewhere.

Hey sabre what kind of miles do you get per week and is it with the weekend at home? I am interested in flatbedding but I am wanting to run 3K+ a week. I am interested in staying out weekends but being under a load and not sitting. Also what is there starting pay on the CPM side not the percentage side?

I was with Prime hauling reefer. I am thinking about going back with them if I can get on a team with my good freind that works there. If not then I am looking at TMC, Maverick, and Millis. All seem to be good companies with great trucks and great starting pay.
