I will be starting school in Salt Lake City soon and I was wondering about how much money do I need for food, and what is the hotel like?

Not to burst your bubble, but the Rider policy states, "Passengers must be 12 years of age or older. Children under 12 are NOT allowed as passengers at any time." Found that in the Drivers' Manual page 31.
-
That really sucks. I double checked earlier to day with my recruiter to see how long it would be and she told me the age was ten. I hope this is not a sign of things to come.
-
You have a possible solution....? Perhaps a company that really treats you as a human being...not a resource...Good Lord I hate "Inhumane Resources"......Folks it is sooooooo simple.....just take care of your people. Why is that such an extreme mystery?
-
Yup.. My drivers manual says the same.. As does my riders pass.. I imagine since recruiters get paid to recruit us.. Their telling you what you want to hear.. Make the recruiter sign a piece of paper stating its ten.. And fax it to you.. But it still won't hold up.. But I imagie if you were to ask.. They might change their story...

Unfortunately, It is. This imperfect position we find ourselves in life ain't fair; not right, sucks wish we could change it, but it is what it is.
That stated. Ask anyone who has spent any amount of time out of this beautiful bountiful country...especially a Vet, if they will open up and you will receive a small glimpse of the reality...........Despite the gov't......we still live in the best place on the planet. Get off your butt and get going!Dark_Majesty_06 Thanks this. -
Wolfman,
Not trying to discourage you, but your chances of survival are directly related to a factual expectation of outcome. You have come to a place of reality without the fluff. The folks that post here, a lot are "alma mater" graduates, i.e. ex-central, and in my short tenure have been quite candid. Only piece of advice I can provide is don't be too eager. Set a spell and pray about the answer. -
They recently changed the policy to 10. I heard about it from someone in the office.

Call safety and ask them, extention is 6307. See what they say.WOLFMAN82 Thanks this.

I found a multifunction printer for the truck that actually works with my cobra inverter! I got tired of trip pak losing my signed bills and paying for copies... even as cheap as copies are. Its the standing in line part to make 1 copy and pay $.25. Now if trip pak loases another signed bill ill just log on and email my scanned image to payroll.
If anyone is looking for a scanner/copier/printer then get the Canon MX320 i KNOW that one works with inverters. Don't get the HPs. Those apparently require a Pure Sine Wave and those Pure Sine inverters cost alot.
It's at walmart for $49 and INCLUDES the usb cable.
Back to my usual difficult loads..... this load has only has 3 days for 1k miles but had to DH about 250 miles to go get it. AND it was assigned to pu 3 hrs after my 99 which was a next day load for 500 miles. So got to 99 then out of hrs.
now im back to my 11 drv, 10 off schedule. I think someone in the war room is intentionally trying to make me fail giving me this difficult crap.
Oh yeah and i made a big pot of chili, now i have lunch for the week.JimBob24 Thanks this.
