So you dont have a TV, (that 13inch TV VCR combo dont count), nore a fridge, Maybe a laptop? probly not thow. At the end of the day you dont stay in your truck, your probly out shinning your crome. Or chatting it up inside. And thats even if your out on the road for more then a couple days. You probly have some dedicated route which does not require allot of down time and puts you home every week.
Now for me being a Bedbugger out on the road for 3 or 4 months without going home. And then sitting somtimes for a week in between loads. I got allot of crap inside my truck. I have everything I need inside it. A hotel would be a downgrade for me. I really enjoy staying in my truck. its very comfortable. The only thing I am missing is a genpack. So I do idle allot.

Idleaire has announced on their website on July 12 that they will be restarting service for 5 Pilot locations as well as the Sapp Brothers in Salt Lake City very soon. The other locations, according to the webiste, will be opening in the near future.

Every truck driver, whether you use it or not, should be PO'ed. It is a scam, they will be subsidized by your tax dollars until the new owners bleed it dry, or keep getting money allotted by your favorite congressman. No thanks. Just like flying, if they charged what it really cost most folks couldn't afford it. And who's to say that isn't the way it should be.

18-24 months tops.......................
Then they should be gone forever !!!!!!!!! -
I never met anyone who didn't like Idleaire when their a/c went out in the summer.

With APUs, the IdleAire concept is outdated. The big problem with IdleAire is that the locations are in areas where it doesn't make sense. If they converted every spot in every truck stop in California, maybe they'd have made money.
