Okay, I appologize for not listing the tickets, just a little tired guys. I have been running back and forth from Charlotte to Raliegh, and Charlotte to Blythewood. To each states head DMV offices to try and straighten all of this crap out. What basically has happened is this. They charged me with a DUS, back in 2007. I did not do the crime, but some paperwork did not get turned in and in doing so has caused my driving record to get screwed up. Now I have to get the original paperwork for each ticket, and turn them in to the head DMV offices. I have to get the Court depositions from each court from each county as well. I am on unemployment so this is killing me. If you know what I mean.

05 ticket- speeding more than 10 less than 25
06 ticket- speeding more than 10 less than 25
06 ticket- speeding more than 10 less than 25
    06 ticket- improper passing

All of these tickets were within 5 months of each other. I had an SS camaro, and a lead foot. I was 21 years old, and really did not care. I was given a points suspension for all of them from May of 06 to October of 06.

I have one ticket on my 3 year history. It is from April of 2009.
Ticket- speeding more than 10 less than 25. 4 point violation, 2 left since it is over a year old.

That is all that is on my history.

Now the Suspensions that they are showing that are not correct are the Failure to pay Suspensions. They are saying that I did not pay the tickets until November of 2007. The DMV is also saying I did not get my License back until May of 2008. This is incorrect, and I just sent the paperwork in to have in modified to show that I paid the fines In October of 06, when the point suspension was up. I had to in order to get my license back. This has to be true, or I would have had the Driving Under Suspension conviction, I do not and they have already made the change to correct their mistake on that. They have sent me a letter, that I turned in to Progressive insurance. That will show I was never supposed to be put on SR-22, and that it was a mistake at the State Level. I can hand the paper in, file an appeal, and get my day in court to get my money back. I just need to find a company, or an O/O that will give me a chance. I hear of truckers all the time that have DUI, multiple accidents, DWI, reckless driving tickets, Manslaughter convictions, and all kinds of crap. They find work, so why cant I. I do not have that bad of a driving history, to tell you the truth I have seen a lot worse. So what the hell man.

To the guy talking about being a crane operator. I am a Connector for the Iron Workers Local 848, we just finished the Bank of America Project for Balfour Beatty Construction. They are working all over this state, you might want to check them out. Also Buckner Steel, they have there own cranes.

So no answer on the Driving history? I guess this was a big waste of time. I have waited the 5 years until all of these points were off my record. I just want to do a job that I do not have to kill myself at. I do not mind the hours, ever worked for a steel erection company? 70 hours + a week is the Norm. I just think it is ridiculous that your driving history has to be spotless for 10 years, hell I know all kinds of Truck drivers that have a way worse history than mine and they are working. This is the biggest load of crap I have ever heard. You mean to tell me that this is how screwed up the US has gotten, that a person who has the qualifications and has paid for the school, cannot get a job. Where is the democracy in that. I have a 2 point BS ticket, that is over a year old. That is it, yeah I made some mistakes when I was younger. Who didnt I was 21, had an SS camaro, and the world was an open play ground. If I knew then what I know now. I have less than 60 days to find a driving job, or the school was a complete waste of time. If you guys have any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated. I cannot be the only person this has happened to.

With the number of trucking companies that went out of business in the last couple years (over 3,000 in 2008 alone) and CSA 2010 on the way, companies can be much pickier than they use to be. There are a lot of drivers out there with more experience that have a hard time finding driving jobs. Then there is the glut of displaced workers that decided to go to trucking school over the last couple of years. The market is flooded with drivers.

Some companies will let you slide a few months. I have a few pre hire letters from companies knowing I was suspended from 96 for tickets until I got my licence in Nov of 2007... Had I had to wait for 3 years exactly I would be waiting till Nov of 2010...

    Let us clarify this:
No it does not have to be a "spotless" 10 year record, but you do need 10 years of work history. That's the law. 3 years if you're working at BK,Mickey D's or something hourly, but driving, you have to have a 10 year work history unless you're 27 years old or less then you won't have a 10 year history.
Now "spotless" it all depends on who you are applying for. Some will take a misdemeanor, some even a non violent felony and some even if you have a ticket or 2 "within reason" but if you're one who has NO respect of the rules or lawdon't bank on someone giving you a truck and trailer worth $100,00 for a POS and darn sure they won't trust you with a $1,000,000 or close to it load!

Well I am happy to report that I have solved the problem, I just got my NC 10 year driving history and the laws must be different than in SC, because none of the crap I did transferred. I think I am in the Clear, besides everyone, and I mean everyone breaks the law atleast 1 time a day. Just others have better luck, cops go out to fill a quota, and that is it. They have to write X amount of tickets within X amount of time, if they do not they get taken off of the road and stuck in the jail as a guard or behind a desk. I have known plenty of drivers that have a way and I mean way worse driving history than mine, and they still work. No you tard, I did not just go get laid off and decide one day to get my CDL and go to work. I have been trying to do this since I was 19, I have an Uncle maybe you heard of his company, Jim Palmer Trucking based out of Missoula Montana? he asked me during that time if I wanted to try trucking for a living, I was on my way when at 20 I started dating the Police chiefs daughter and the rest they say is history. I have him, and an SS camaro to thank for this history. I transferred my License and now for the last year and 4 months no problems. I have been approved by CRST, and Carolina Cargo, but I want to make a good living, and not have to buy the truck. It is a HUGE difference driving a 4 wheeler and an 80,000 lb truck. I just was young stupid, and did not understand how the world works. I met a guy at my church that spent 7 years in prison for a violent crime, he got out and paid 1000.00 for his license, waited a year got his CDL and has been driving ever since. He went through Sure Wish I Had (A) Faster Truck, and even with a felony, and a DUI on his record, along with a half a dozen speeding tickets, plus a points suspension he got a job. If anyone knows a company that will take me, please help. If not then Smart alac remarks are rather childish and not needed. I thought that there was a brother hood withing trucking and being that I have a CDL, and have paid for the training, and you have been where I am at, why instead of put me down, try helping.
