When I originaly signed on I lived on the east coast of NC and was told the same thing(Don't expect to be home anymore than every six weeks because of where i lived). That was four years ago and back when freight was good but I lived in a slow freight area. At least I was allowed to take my truck home with me at that time. I agreed to it because few companies were hiring out of the area at the time and none were paying anything close to what Crete was. It all depends on ones location and circumstances I guess.

Hey Elusive. What's up? I remember seeing your username a few weeks after browsing this board and thinking "####, now I'm gonna have to find a way to change mine." Haha

Good morning evertruckerr
I see you are still lurking in your thread. Next time you are in KC and have some downtime give me a call and I will buy you a meal. You can find my info in the last email I sent to you, search of your Gmail account for "ourodie". If that does not work, just let me know and I will resend you the info.
Thanks,

We have a drop yard in Fontana that is owned by a 3rd party not Crete. If you want to park your truck there while you are home it costs $5.

Was sitting in Idaho Falls today waiting for a load offer and was told to bobtail down to Burley and pick up a trailer with a load of tires going to Boise. Figured somebody broke down but I was kind of curious why they didn't want me to take an empty. Get down to Burley and find out the previous driver died of a heart attack driving on I 84 right at the Id/Ut state line. He just drifted off the road and ended up in a field. All I know is that he was out of the Spartanburg terminal and was 54.

Thanks Longbow. It makes a little sense now. I would think that Crete would pick up the cost though.
