And they don't even come with a warranty? That's bs. I could have sworn back in 07 I heard they were around $3k-$5k. Now they're over $10k, the price of an entire car. WTF happened?

it's FUNNY how many Weiner trucks I see where the apu case is bashed in!!

And I'd rather IDLE than have a piece of ##### RigMaster!
we have nothing but Thermo King TriPacs on our trucks and even though parts for them can be a little pricey I think they have the best bang for the buck. I will NOT go back to a truck without one!
ever since I got mine in August of last year I sleep so good a bomb could go off and not wake me up! Far better than I did when I idled! The big engine uses a gallon an hour idling while the TriPac uses a gallon per night!

Haven't had any major problems either, just the a/c developed a glitch that TK (I practically had to beg our maint dept to let me take it there though) fixed in two hours with a $4 part, and the evaporator fan under the bunk took a dump the other night- that too was fixed quick (at our shop). -
Rational thought has nothing to do with creating laws in the best political system money can buy. People who buy the sales pitch politicians put out about working for ordinary people without a voice are simply ignorant. At the very least you are naive if you think politicians who make the laws would sincerely consider people who work for living when they go to write a law (if they even write it - usually it is a lobbyist who writes the bills).
If a driver dies in a sleeper from heat or freezing and there could be a series of news stories that gives the politician favorable publicity or make them look like a concerned, benevolent holder of the public trust you might get a common sense, driver friendly law. Otherwise, the businesses that fill up their campaign coffers and send them on all expense paid vacations (trucking companies among others) are who they work for and who are protected by the laws they enact. -

I for one don't care for truckstop movie rooms- they stink like a locker room sometimes, and other times there's nothing worth watching.
