My experiance was not all that bad with the company. -
Does any of you know anything about Maverick or McElroy training program. They both pay about the same ( per mile)only differents is one pays hub miles and one housemovers guide. McElory is 65% pre tarp loads Was told that Maverick is higher than that. Both are good companys as far as I can tell from what I have seen here just hope to pick the right one, I hate job hopping. Thanks for all your help on this and ya'll be safe out there.

I have a friend that works for Maverick, all I can say is that he is really happy with them and keep him rolling. He keeps trying to get me to come over to them.

After being unemployed 2 months, attending 3 weeks of driving school & receiving my CDL license and certificate, I am now ready to finally start earning a paycheck again.
I have narrowed my choices down to 3 different companies & would be glad to hear any feedback (good or bad) about any of them to help make a decision on which to go with to start my new career in trucking. I do not want to be a job hopper, so any suggestions on which would be the best for a long term company would be much appreciated.
The companies I am looking at are.....
DeBoer - Blinker, WI
Interstate Distributers - Tacoma, WA
KLLM - Jackson, MS -
Look in the Favorite Trucking companies for deBoer info.

Can only comment on KLLM
They have reefer and dry van divisions; which do you prefer? Want 48 state and more miles, go reefer. Want 37 state and less miles, go dry van.
Want cents/mile or percentage? Former is all but SE Region. Go to orientation and training in Jackson, MS, stay away from the Atlanta yard (Morrow, GA) at all costs.
Use the search button for more info already posted on KLLM by myself and others for more answers. I was with them for over 4 years and been away from there for over a year. I can tell you that the pastures weren't really greener on the other side.
They are a good company and well respected in the transportation industry. Good luck. -
Just curious if anyone out there has worked for either one of these companies. They have both been in the playing field for 25+ years and SGT 2000 is based in Ontario but does 90% US runs.
We had a rep from SGT 2000 come into our training school yesterday for recruiting but i must say i was not very impressed with what they had to offer at the end of the day.
I would like to get some inside information for any new joiners that have went to either one of the above mentioned companies or get the scoop from experienced drivers within the company.
Thank you -
Hi , I'm just wondering if anyone has any information(good or bad) on Evergreen Transportation(Evergreen, AL.), Mckenzie Tank Lines(Tallahassee, FL), or JCJ Trucking company out of Peru, Illinois? Evergreen has an ad in the paper here & a friend I have in Illinois is starting out in trucking & wants whatever info. he can get on JCJ if it's available. I've looked all ovr these forums for the past 3&1/2 months & I can't find any info about any of these companies. Any information will be greatly appreciated- Thanks in advance.

Hi, I recently finished my 8 month prison sentence with CRST Van Expedited and have about 9 whole months of OTR experience. Had no problems, incidents, accidents, etc. I wanted to lease a truck with them and train students so as to increase the miles/pay but the waiting list is too long so a friend who does that told me to quit for 90 days then go back to get them to lease a truck. So here I am trying to find a decent company to drive for and I dont necessarily need to be home all that often. Its all about the money for the rest of the year...so I could use some advice on these 3 companies or any that you could recommend that will take someone with less than 12 months. Anything to help would be appreciated! STEVEYB:smt025
