i just recieved a certified letter from NC informing me they are suing me and Arnold trans for an accident back in feb 09.
the city of greensboro is demanding a trial by jury.

    Questions:
why is this not between the insurance companies to resolve this?
    what should i do next?
i know i should call the carrier, but should i get an attorney ASAP?
do i HAVE to go to trial? i cant afford to go through this crap ugghhhhh!!:biggrin_25510:
BTW, long time no see guys! :biggrin_255:

    I'd get a lawyer ASAP.

Are you willing to provide the details concerning the accident? Property dameages etc...

I'd consult with an attorney ASAP. You can't afford not to have one.

That's because statue of limitations runs out in two years. If you were driving for a company they would provide a lawyer for you and them. You do need to notify the employer but I imagine they are being sued too.

I doubt it would make it to trial, insurance companies don't want truck related accidents going to trial. They would rather settle.
