I pull 308 a couple times a year with a 53' van, no big deal. There's some switchbacks just outside of Red lodge- other than that, it's a straight shot.

According to Rand McNally, MT308 is not a designated truck route, but there are no restrictions on it either. You shouldn't be bothered by anyone. Take the ride and let us know how pretty it is....
