    Hello everyone!

    I am new to the trucking industry. I am currently attending school and love it! (learning how to shift gears for the first time lol) Why did I want to be a truck driver? Well I've been an EMT for 16 years and want a new career. And as a kid I've always loved trucks. So I said now is the time for a change. So any info from veteran drivers or advice from others to help get started will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! I have been checking out the forums while I'm at work (EMS = Earn Money Sleeping) and have found so much useful information. I will definitely relay this website to my classmates and encourage them to register and use it. This place is an extremely valuable tool!

    Just a quick update. School is going good. Got a few hours by myself in the yard last week learning to shift. I'm attending a CDL mill and sometimes it is very frustrating to wait for an hour or so just to get 5-10 minutes in the truck. I'm hoping to get some more hours this week but my work schedule is demanding.
