They got bought out. I think it was celadon that bought them out, not sure though. Still a lot of their tractors and trailers on the road though....

Navajo in Denver bought them out - at least that's who I see pulling those Digby trailers...

Navajo is owned by the brother of the guy that used to own Digby. They're the Digby brothers. There was a third one too, with trucks that were not orange and white, but i dont remember the name of the company. I see alot of navajo trucks pulling digby trailers too. I suspect he may have bought a bunch of them from his brother, but who knows.

Funny thing is im told you could get fired from navajo and go to digby and he'd hire you no questions asked just to piss his bro off..ROFL.

I had a celadon driver at the fuel island tell me this one time, she said she had worked for digby for years and they got bought out by celadon and she kept working there.

The one in TN was sold to Celedon.

    From...

    http://www.navajo.com/opportunities.htm

Navajo Express is a family owned business, owned and operated by Don Digby Sr. and his family. We are a 48 state refrigerated and dry van carrier, based out of Denver, CO.

    And from...

    http://www.manta.com/c/mmggrnj/navajo-shippers-inc

Navajo Shippers Inc also does business as Digby-Ringsby Trucklines,

Thus the confusion. That's also why they can pull trailers with the Digby logo on them... I see that all the time. Navajo's Denver terminal is across 64th Ave from our drop yard and dispatch office there.

I've never heard of navajo shippers so i am not confused at all...

And there is no law saying what name has to be on your trailer. Some trailers have no name at all.

Trademark laws. Try doing anything with "Apple," "RadioShack" or "Shack" for example - they'll sue you silly. Bet you money you paint "Werner" on the side of one of your tanks, you'll get noticed!
